Venture is beginning to recognize that a lot of companies have had great ideas but aren’t using best in class strategies that have been proven to be successful at companies like Pfizer, Medtronic, or Baxter.

They’ve noticed that many of the companies seem to be taking an approach that works very effectively in IT and software but are beginning to question whether that same commercialization approach will drive the necessary adoption with healthcare customers. They’re wondering why companies aren’t using the strategies proven to drive adoption in medical device or pharma.

The medical device and pharmaceutical industry is littered with amazing technologies with impressive clinical benefits that failed upon market introduction. The key to success in the healthcare space for manufacturers is the ability to operationalize and commercialize and systematically drive adoption with customers.
